GRAIN: Straight or uniformly interlocked.

TEXTURE: Rough, right texture.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Light red chestnut color; heartwood is a light reddish brown distinct from the light gray to light grayish brown sapwood. Indistinct smell and taste. Low resistance against wood-degraders organisms.

PROCESSING CHARACTERISTICS:
Finishes well.

USES:
Flooring and decking; General and structural usage in Civil Construction; moldings and furniture components; veneers and Plywood; packaging and boxes.

Density:
Density at 12% moisture content of 570 Kg/m3 and green density of 1,110 kg/m3. Janka 1093 (497Kgf).
