OUR WARRANTIES FOR PREFINISHED HARDWOOD FLOORS
Our Prefinished Hardwood
Floors are finished with up to 7 coats aluminum oxide, anti-scratch urethane.
This residential 15 year warranty (from the date of purchase) covers the
factory applied UV cured aluminum oxide finish on our prefinished solid hardwood
flooring. This finish warranty covers normal residential traffic conditions and
use, subject flooring is used as prescribed.
Attention:
- ALL FLOORING ARE
SOLD AS IS. NO RETURNS.
- Allow a defect tolerance
of 5%. Defects may be of a manufacturing or a natural type. Therefore, we
recommend an extra allowance of 5% on the quantities purchased. If there are
issues prior to installation, please contact our Customer Service Department.
- Inspection of the
floor needs to be done prior to installation. The installer and home user
are responsible for the final inspection of the flooring. DO NOT INSTALL
DEFECTIVE FLOORING. Site conditions must be acceptable and installation
instructions must be followed accordingly. Defective installed hardwood will
not be covered under this warranty. Any flooring that has been installed is
deemed accepted by the consumer.
- This warranty does not
cover poor installation quality. Prior to installation, the owner/installer must
determine that the job site and all sub surfaces meet all requirements specified
in the installation instructions.
- It is recommended that
you DO NOT install the flooring until your whole flooring order is delivered.
Floorboards should be intermixed from at least 4-5 cartons at a time during the
installation for a better color mix within the floor. It is also recommended to
bring the flooring into the home as soon as it is delivered and to allow the
wood flooring to acclimate for at least 3-5 days prior to its installation. Do
not store wood flooring in garages or sheds or where temperatures or moisture
levels can vary significantly.
- This warranty is
non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Exclusions
- Commercial uses and rental
properties.
- “2nd Grade”, “Select” and “Select &
Better” Prefinished and/or. Imperfections such as wormholes, face splits, height
differences between boards and knots are acceptable for these grades. SUCH
MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
- Damages on the hardwood floor caused by
negligence (scratches or indentations from accumulated dirt on floor),
accidents, spills, misuse, abuse, water, sand, pets (Pets-urine will blacken all
hardwoods and dents and scratches will occur), spiked shoes or damaged shoe
heels, cold, heat, humidity or dryness;
- Natural oxidation of the wood,
meaning color alteration of the floor due to sunlight exposure. Exotic
floors will darken in color from exposure to sunlight.
- Grain and Color Variation. Our natural
exotic hardwood floors have a great range of color. The colors shown in this web
site may vary in color from the actual flooring. This is due to different
monitors being used to view the pictures, scan and/or image quality. Pictures
shown here are only meant to help guide you with your color choices. If there is
a concern we recommend you to request a sample prior to placing an order.
- Natural disasters leaking or broken
plumbing, fire, flood, tornado, hurricane or earthquake.
- Indentations, scratches in the hardwood
floor caused by furniture, appliances, high traffic.
- Reduction in gloss, fading or change
in shading.
- Resanding, refinishing or recoating of
the hardwood floor.
- Damage caused by improper
transportation, storage, handling.
- Poor installation (please see
Installations Instructions).
- Improper maintenance or misuse.
- Insufficient protection; moisture
variation due to wet sub floor or moisture from on top or underneath.
- Improper alterations of the original
products.
- These warranties DO NOT
apply to Unfinished Hardwood Floorings.
OUR POLICIES
- Prices and availability
stated in this web site may change regularly and without notice. No further
rebate and/or discount can be applied due to future sales and/or lower prices.
- Costs of flooring, shipping and taxes are to be prepaid at time of order.
- Freight costs, commissions and taxes are not included in the prices listed in
this web site.
- Payment Methods: Master Card, Visa, checks, money orders and wire
transfers. Personal or business checks sent will require processing time before
shipments are sent.
- FOR YOUR ONLINE SECURITY all credit card information you place online
is sent directly to your credit card companies encrypted processing data base. BRAZILIAN WOODFLOOR DEPOT does not store or collect any credit card
information in our databases. Due to this High level of security, your credit
card is processed for the amount of your order as soon as the order is placed by
you.
- Cancellations and/or changes on the original order will be charged 3% fee of
the total order price.
- Order cancellations after the order has been shipped are charged a 30%
restocking charge plus the 3% fee as stated above. The purchaser is responsible
for all incurred shipping charges.
- Special orders cannot be cancelled.
- Any dispute arising from a purchase transaction with BRAZILIAN WOODFLOOR DEPOT INC. shall be brought solely and exclusively before a judicial court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Miami-Dade County, Florida, applying the law of Florida without regard to its internal conflict of laws rules. The parties hereto waive right to trial by jury. The prevailing party shall be entitled to reasonable attorneys fees at all trial and appellate levels.
- Delivery within the US may take 2 to 10 business days.
